Step 1 - Determining format & production
When producing Rich Media material you should always take the following into consideration:
- The right ad size (see IAB guidelines)
- Use the complementary Adrime Templates
- Use the complementary Adrime Components
- Add standard ClickTags and/or close buttons
- The right file size (Adrime supports files of up to 2MB as standard, larger files can be processed on request)

Stap 2 - Uploading material
- Gather the following items in one zip file, and give it an unambiguous name:
- Flash files (up to Flash 9), FLAs are not required
- Alternative Flash files
- Alternative GIF/JPG files (if required)
- Other files (Flash Video, XML etc.)
- A brief outline of the functioning, if required
- A Beacon / tracking tag can also be added, if required
- Send this zip file to Adrime Traffic, stating the correct order numbers and campaign name
Stap 3 - Receiving tags
You will promptly receive the following from us:
- A One Tag that you can easily paste into your Ad Management system
- Instructions on how to handle your Adrime tags
A few things to bear in mind
There are only a few requirements your SWF files have to meet. All Adrime commands will be written in your SWF file. For example, when you want to use a close button, you only have to make sure that this button is included as a Flash button in your movie when you upload it. You don't have to worry about complex Action Scripting.
When designing a Flash movie you should bear the following in mind:
- Many websites only allow ScreenAds with a close button. This also goes for our ScreenAds. This is a publication standard that operators abide by.
- When an SWF file is transparent, the website behind it will be visible. Considering that Adrime ScreenAds will usually appear on a wide range of different websites, it is difficult to know in advance what colours will surround the ad. You should therefore take precautions in the design: white text over a white website is very hard to read!
- Do not create an SWF file that takes too long to run. Most ScreenAds will run between 7 and 10 seconds in total.
- Make sure that your SWF file can also be viewed with older versions of the Flash plug-in, i.e. upload a Flash 9 and a Flash 7 version.
ClickTags
Adrime supports the ClickTag industry standard of the MFAA, the Macromedia Flash Advertising Alliance. This standard is used by virtually every ad management system. The code for that is:
on (release) {
getURL(clickTag, "_blank");
}
